Wretched

Wretched just about sums it up.

It’s one of those words often used in novels of the Austen or Dickens varieties so sounds a little old fashioned. However it sums up the feelings of many who feel trapped by their situation. There is no point in getting depressed by it, there is not much you can do about it but you have to brood a little bit over the situation anyway.

For when there are not enough hours in the day you feel wretched.

That’s how I feel now.

There is no point in feeling low because there is always someone feeling worse than you. That’s like saying there is no point feeling happy because there is always someone happier than you.

So that will be feeling wretched then – something only animals and children can relieve. That’s why in an ideal world I would work with animals and/or children.

This blog is for UNICEF.

Thanks for reading.
